For beginners, improvers and the foundation for those who wish to progress to the advanced course and/or teach: this correspondence course is available on CD. 

To gain diploma there are four sections to be completed with submissions marked and feedback given.  Ideal for those who wish to have feedback but don't or can't attend classes. 

It is currently available in English, and in French. You will also have access by email to ask questions to help you progress.

The course can also be a stand-alone instruction CD without the need to become a student.

There is no time limit on the course, you can take as long as you like, or finish it as quickly as you like!

COSTS: the instruction CD1 with step by step instructions including colour photos, costs £30/35€

FOUR SECTIONS: it is divided into Embossing (by Dorothy Holness), Grid Work and Perforating, Colouring, and a final section putting it altogether.  There is also an introduction and materials section.

SUBMISSIONS: there are submissions in all four of the instruction sections, to be sent for feedback.  These are charged separately at £15/17.50€ per section (due with each submission), to include return postage. So total cost to gain Diploma £90/105€

DIPLOME D'AVANCER  : Vous pouvez faire des progrès vers avancer. C'est un cours séparé, sur CD2, coûte 35€ plus une soumission finale de 35€, donc le prix total pour le gagner  70€.

INSTRUCTORS DIPLOMA You can progress to become an Instructor, as long as your overall pass mark is sufficient.  For those wishing to gain Instructors Certificate, there is one more project to complete, which will be an extra £15/17.50€, so total including the Advanced Diploma which is a pre-requisite is £75/87.50€

It is my pleasure to give you my personal feedback as a student on the Parchment World Wide Diploma Course. This was my first time doing a distance course and I wanted to give it a try especially when I discovered that a distance course in parchment craft leading to become an instructor was being offered. At first I found it a little strange, since this type of craft requires someone to show the techniques and thought it could not be possible and that I was not going to cope. Then when I received the course material and read through the instructions quietly, which were quite detailed I knew I could make it. Instructions were clear and detailed with photos showing step-by-step how to get to the end result. Embossing was a difficult skill to master and I needed a lot of practice but Karen was of great help, as I was given feedback when I sent you scanned practice pieces by e-mail before sending you the official work to be marked. Le travail de cours est bien structuré avec les techniques et les qualifications variables exigées et mène bien dans la dernière section de « la remonter ». L'information sur le CD est très complète et facile à suivre. Les cours d'instruction visuels sont d'une bonification et un grand secours, particulièrement pour les étudiants, comme me, qui n'ont aucun moyen de suivre des classes de métier de parchemin.
